I'd switch the PSU for an EVGA GQ/B2/GS/G2 and be set.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

There's no window in my case, and the psu is overkill for the amount of power I'm drawing anyways.

There's more to PSUs than wattage and I'm referring to quality, thus EVGA B2/GS/GQ/G2 for you. That Cooler Master isn't as good as any of those.

I'd suggest getting some Black 4TB instead. I know they're pricier but the write/reads are better even if you use RAID.

I'll keep that in mind when I get another job.

Had to cheap out to make the build work somehow.

I suggest Kinguin for your Windows 10. It's ~$30 CAD for the pro 64 bit version, as opposed to your $115.

Edit: Re-purpose this money for other parts, like a better HDD or Graphics card. (BTW what software do  you use? I've heard of some incompatibilities with the GTX 1000 Series and some 3D software (CUDA or something)).

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

That'll be an upgrade once the cash starts to flow in.

The Seagate Barracuda or Hitachi Ultrastars would be better than those for your purposes.

The PSU is the last thing you should be cheapening out on... you can scrap one HDD for now and easily add in another later. It's not so easy with the PSU and it's best to get a solid PSU now rather than later.

Sorry to say that it's already been built :c

Ohh....

well I guess the PSU is fine now but I would have changed it beforehand. Why'd you not ask *before* building it?

I was in a hurry to get this done before school started, and I needed some leftover cash after tuition.

Regardless, I could get a new power supply at any time.

I thought you were going to be building this soon, the PSU is fine but I wanted to get you a better PSU for the money. You're fine now.
