Good Guy EA!!

This probably doesn't belong here but I know Linus and Slick like talking about when EA are being a really shit company but also like it when they are doing some good for a change.

Well here is something they have done which I would definitely consider good.

The devs working for EA studios can be really nice. A friend of mine made some videos about Mass Effect 2, basically explaining the plot and logically and calmly breaking down a lot of arguments. The folks at Bioware saw the video and sent him stuff. The "evil" of EA is really just at the top and has more to do with the nature of a publicly traded company than anything else.

I don't think anyone ever gets mad at employee #35034 for making some grass look crappy or ANOTHER gun with ironsights.  They get made at the high level decisions that dumb ass directors and boards make that crap all over their own image.

Give me 3 times the city size in SimCity with a god mode for free and I'll be happy with EA.

If they do an offline mode I'll be happy with that. That way modders can have their way with the game without worry of being banned from Origin. Maxis has said straight out that they won't increase the city size in the game. So, like Bethesda titles looks like it will be up to the mod community to fix it. Assuming, of course, that Maxis follows through with the promise to "look into" doing an offline mode.

Yer.. their reason "people's computer wont be able to handle the extra load".. all i can say to that is.. those people can play on the smaller maps then..

I can only hope so... until then I refuse to play it, it's just too unbalanced for a city that small. I end up with like a dozen skyscrapers that take up over a third of the map.
