Video Editing Software Advice

It's basically worth 1 / 2 $ compared to Premiere, Avid or FCPX. It's just crap in my opinion, it's harder to use, it doesn't have good hw optimization, it's a lot limited in functionality. Premiere tho costs 25$ a month, so that's not cheap for sure, but for me any dollar more than 2 payed for Vegas is wasted. Avid costs 50$/month, FCPX costs 300$ once but it's on Mac only. iMovie is pretty powerful to be free, but yet again, Mac only.

The solution in my opinion: Da Vinci Resolve. It's free unless you need resolutions higher than UHD, if you need to work with 3D, motion blur or noise reduction. It's hands down the most powerful color grading software in the world and it's FREE, it also has (from version 12) a pretty much complete "tab" dedicated to video editing, it's a full pack basically. I'm used to Premiere because it has some more features, but nothing actually worth 25$ a month considering a tool like Resolve exists fro free! (I also can't live without Resolve's color grading. It's just unbelievable)

Sounds pretty good, ill take a look at it when i got time, thanks.

Im looking for software for video editing, and i cant really find anything so i turn over here.

Since many in the LTT community most likely know more than me in this front, i ask:

Is there any free and simple editing software out there, and if so, whats the name of it?

Doesnt neccesarily need to be free, but it cant cost alot, and it needs to be simple since i need to learn about everything related to editing.

Advanced features isnt any neccesity either.

Any help and advice is appreciated, and do take your time to answer, im not in a hurry.

And before you ask: Yes, i read the pinned thread and it didnt say me a whole lot.

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works. Practice is when everything works but you dont know why. In this computer, theory and practice are combined: Nothing works and i dont know why.

Atleast i can manage Some things, like my current OC personal best.
