Upgrading Battery

I currently have a lg bello that uses a 2540mAh battery, what would happen if I put like a 3000mAh or bigger battery in it? would it not work? would it improve battery life?

But you know that not all battery are the same. You just can't take S7 one out and try to fit in an lg. It's like trying to put a huge graphics card into a small case

If it's rated to output the same volts and amps as the other one, then I don't see an issue. However, I'm not 100% sure about charging it up again. Also you're unlikely to find a battery that fits inside a phone and has the same connector.

charging is potentially going to be an issue. (remember that 3rd pin on nokia batteries back when phones still had removable batteries you could buy replacements for? that's a sense contact so the phone knows what the hell kind of battery is in it)

 

the main issue is physically fitting the battery into the device, charging is something you'll notice after the fact.

Not all batteries use the same shape. So you can't just put a battery from one device and expect it to fit in another. It's like asking to put a AA battery in a AAA holder

shape, size and connector will be the biggest issue. get an external battery case if they make one.
