Amazon US

Hi,

 

I was wondering if there were any problems in ordering all my pc components from Amazon US except for my power supply which I would order from Amazon UK or somewhere else in Europe because of different plugs and voltages

I don't know if Amazon US would ship to the EU. Check on their site, before ordering.

Amazon US will ship to the EU.

 

As for the PSU, all of them would have or at least should have support for the various power systems used in various countries so all you'd need to get is the domestic variant of the power cord used by the power supply.

Thanks but I just found an online store in Europe that has good prices (a bit like newegg)

Be careful about buying stuff from the US and getting them sent to Europe, the goods might be retained in customs and your going to have to pay a hefty amount to "release them".

I would advise against ordering electronics from US if you have possibility to get them from EU. Shipping, import fees and taxes plus warranty things are pain when ordering overseas.

Amazon has a shipping option that allows for any possible customs charges to be paid with the item before it's shipped so there aren't any hold-ups or any handling charges added on.

Thats good thing. But I can still see it being quite increase in overall price and possible make shipping overseas more expensive than buying locally.
