I want to build a gaming computer in Node 202 case. I am presently in China and here parts are a bit costly.

My budget is less than 1000$. I will buy a 4K TV which I will use as a monitor and gaming. I want to use reference GTX 1070.

I cant decide a good ITX motherboard and a processor. Should I go for i7 6700 or i5 6600. Should I use a K or non K. I dont need to buy peripherals.

In future I will maybe change case, motherboard and add a second 1070 if games get more demanding.

Here the cost of reference 1070 is about 500$ and Node 202 without PSU is 90$. I am left with 410$ for CPU, motherboard, RAM, storage and Power supply.

I can expand my budget if I wait for sometime. Please help me decide motherboard and cpu for my build. Thanks

The node 202 will limit you.  Heat becomes the big concern in the Node 202.

At a minimum you'll need to decide on your CPU, since that's up in the air. Before deciding your CPU, you'll need to figure out what you'll be using it for.

A 1070 won't handle 4k unless you like 30 fps. So you'd buy a 4k TV only to hook up hardware that needs a lesser resolution like 1440 or 1080p.

SLI isn't ITX. You get 1 GPU. If you want SLI, look at mATX or ATX.

For the Node 202, either run a locked non K CPU and it's stock intel cooler, or buy an unlocked CPU and use the Cryorig C7 cpu cooler.

Since when do you need an i7 for a 1070? Someone lied to you.

For motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H170N-Wifi

CPU - i5-6500/6600/6600K

I wouldn't recommend you try to overclock with a Node 202 case. Cooling can become a real problem.

For a power supply, you'll need an SFX unit around 500 watts. (the Node 202 uses an SFX PSU)

In fact, I would recommend you use a case like a Corsair 250D or similar, that uses a standard ATX power supply - especially if you want to overclock.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD
