R7 250 Revised???

Go to solution Solved by Vadise,

Yes, it's a thing. I do have Sapphire's equivalent. Other than the slight boost in performance, the 512 SP version is perfectly compatible with everything the 384 SP version was, as far as I could notice. That being Dual Graphics compatibility and whatnot.

So far I think the only R7 250 that is not really an R7 250, is Sapphire's Ultimate R7 250.

Apparently some r7 250s have the cape verde core with extra shaders. An example of this is the sapphire radeon r7 250 'ultimate' http://www.hardwareluxx.com/index.php/reviews/hardware/vgacards/29726-test-sapphire-radeon-r7-250-ultimate-.html

you can already see that the cap verde has more shaders and more core clock and memory clock , higher DX support and runs off a full 16x slot

so its definetly a better/newer chip

consider the 512 sp version a 250x and the 384 sp the normal 250

Yes some rebranded 7750 have the Cape Verde chip. It performs very simlar to Oland but a bit better.

Radeon HD 7750 Ultimate is the same card as the R7 250 Ultimate. Just the bios is modded that it reads out the changed name.
