Okay I posted an issue I had with OBS1, some of which got solved through changing to OBS Studio.

Now one problem remains; For some reason either the game I'm playing or OBS will shut down without warning while recording. No "Overwatch.exe has stopped working", it just disappears.

I'm guessing it might be the settings I'm using considering I had similar issues with OBS1.

Any ideas or tips for settings I can use in OBS Studio?

In OBS Studio, press Help and then press Upload Current Log File. Paste the link somewhere on this thread.

I also know that Razer Synapse (Specifically Heatmaps) can mess with OBS's ability to capture the game, and might fuck things up.

It's funnu that you mention that.. I recently installed Synapse. I'll see to that.

It also looks like this may be a bug in OBS, but it has a solution here https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/game-capture-hook-crashing-games-after-latest-win10-update-3140743.44679/

I found one other person online mention that an unstable overclock caused the crashing in OBS.

I found that one too, but it's definetly not an unstable OC. Had Aida64 running for 24 hours.

But I'll uninstall synapse to see of that makes a difference.
