No, I'm not that good. You have to search Microsoft's database of Event ID's.

Event 41 though is from unexpected power loss. Due to power cycling.

I'd put the PC to sleep (note the time) and try to wake it. Check for anything near that time.

Do you have a spare HDD? You could install Windows on that and see if it fixes anything.

I might be able to find one, will see what my error codes say tomorrow. I wonder if it isn't something with the hard drive, maybe im totally wrong, but who knows.

You could run "chkdsk".

I have done that, it said errors found, I forgot about everything else that was displayed though.

It must have fixed all of them, this scan came up with no errors and 0kb of bad files

This sounds more like an issue with the GPU/display than anything with the OS or BIOS. Since you're getting errors on a hard shut down after a failed 'wake from sleep,' the computer is fully 'awake,' just not sending anything to the display. Are you using HDMI, DisplayPort or DVI (VGA even?)? Try swapping out cables for any extras you may have and changing to a different connector. If you're using HDMI, switch HDMI cables; if that doesn't work, try DisplayPort or DVI. Do you have another monitor to test with?

This is a Windows issue, a known Windows issue.

Turning sleep/hibernate off is the fix, not a bandaid (as far as I know Microsoft has not fixed this).

So there is no known fixes for this? Did this happen because of a windows update? Can you provide a link to where you found this?
