Im going to be building my first pc and I cannot decide between these two because the Zalman looks cool but the Kendomen has a bigger window to show my led ram and it has more functionality. Which should I go with?

Out of those two the Deepcool is definitely better, but I'd suggest spending a few dollars more and getting something like an S340 or MasterBox 5. Those are both much better cases imo, and both are like $63 while the Zalman is $5 less at $58

MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 - (5700HQ : 970M : 16gb RAM : 17.3" : Win10 : 1TB HDD : Razer Anansi : Some mouse) - hooked up to a 34UM58-P (WFHD) in dual screen

iPad Air 2 (for school)

iPhone 6

Xbox One Forza 6 Limited Edition Blue

I don't see much in the way of dimensions; however, your GPU is not short by any means. I have a friend that I assembled a PC for, but he made the purchase. His 1070 barely fits. Less than 1cm between the end of the GPU and the optical drive Bay. Make sure your fear will fit in this case. Also, make sure these cases will be tall (wide) enough for your air cooler. I'd feel bad if you couldn't close the door. Your gear might fit, but without digging for dimensions, it looks like it could be very tight.

I'd say the Zalman if I had to choose one. Looks like better build quality, and easier cable management. But check the dimensions if you haven't ensured everything will fit.

Thanks for the reply! As for your concern of my gpu size and not fitting, The case will take up to an 11.5 inch gpu while mine is only 9.5 inches, as for the cpu cooler at the least it will have 3 inches of clearance from the glass so that will also be fine. Also, you mentioned that the cable management might be easier but from the reviews that I read, they said that It was tight.

Why are you interested in these cases? Is it price? Specific features? Why not an NZXT Source 220 or Cool Master HAF 912? We could suggest better cases for a similar price range.

When it comes to cases, sturdy is good for cable management. I don't see anything bad with the Zalman in reviews. But if it's a tight fit, you're likely to experience less flexing than the Deepcool.

There are also better prices on Newegg, depending on where you live.

The reason i am interested in these cases are because of the looks and the prices. I like the fact that they are around 70$ with features like ( On the Zalman) the red plate on top that looks futuristic and on the Kendoman, I like the fact that the trays are red and the clips are red and it includes the dust cover on top that is easily cleanable and has more space for cable management. As well as those things, I like how they both come with many fans already. I also like the Kendoman more than the Zalman because there is a bigger area to see the internals. So basically I cant decide which one I want because im either sacrificing the looks of the Zalman or im sacrificing the functionality of the Kendoman

  • 1 month later...

I have the DeepCool Kendomen and it comes with

- 5 fans, 2 with leds

- dust filter for the two on top (these are illuminated), easy removable (you can fit a 300mm radiator here)

- dust filter for the fans in the front, easy removable

- dust filter for the power supply fan

- 3-Step Fan controller (2 fans simultaneosly)

- quick release screws on both sides

- 2 HDD trays for 8 HDDs both 2.5" and 3.5" hdd/ssd/sshd (you can remove one tray to fit video cards as long as 400mm)

- You can have a 170mm tall CPU Heatsink ( so 170mm from motherboard level)

- The back trays are mounted on screws so if you put in a video card and then wanna move it, you can put the little tray on again.

- You can make cable management, enough space and enough holes.

- Is very spacious

- the front 1xUSB 3.0, 2xUSB 2.0 and 2x jacks are positioned horizontal on the front side of the box. (the ones that are positioned vertical may get dust into them, according to where you live)

- the material of which is the case made is strong enough to not bend it by normal use.

I can supply you with pictures from any side and with the ruler over them to see dimensions. Just ask.

I got it with 50 US$ from a local store from Romania and I'm very satified by it and I recommend it to everyone.
