If you use a saw and remove that part of your screen you wont see it anymore.

 

On a serious note I have no idea. Every time I wake my monitor from sleep I am informed that a G-Sync display has been activated and I have to manually close the notification. I cant find the option to disable it yet.

 

Nvidia like to tell you even if you don't want to know.
