Hi guys, i need help transferring my components to a new case. The reason that i need help transferring my parts, is because my current case is not really big enough to house everything (i need to say this VERY clearly, yes theoretically it is big enough, but my temperatures are not the best and i need room for expansion) and so i ask for you guys to recommend a good case, preferably the best case for my specifications (good case for good hardware!) but not really expense. I do have my eyes set on the corsair air 540 as i like the room, the design and it in general. I am also asking for some advise, i would like to clean all my parts very well, could someone please recommend a method, i was thinking of dipping all the possible components into isopropyl alcohol that are safe to be submerged, however i am not sure which parts are safe and which are not. That is something you guys will need to explain. Also i would like to say finally that i appreciate the all help and support that you can provide me with, im sorry if i am being a pain towards you, i dont know everything lol! With kind regards-Kurt

What are your specs and what kind of expansion did you have in mind?

What parts do you have to clean? Taking heatsinks/fans off and dusting/wiping is usually a good way to clean components.

I'm very fond of my nzxt phantom 530. I'd recommend you at least check out some of their full towers. The phanteks enthoo pro is another great case.

Corsair did release the Air 740 which is a improved version of the Air 540. Also what are your specs? Also if you plan on cleaning components, don't submerge them in isopropyl alcohol. Just use a micro-fiber cloth and some paper towels if needed. Use isopropyl alchol when cleaning the CPU heat spreader and GPU die. Otherwise a air can and a damp paper towel will do the trick for other components. Just make sure there isn't any paper residue on the compents, same goes with water if you use a damp paper towel. Make sure everything is dry and clean before you power on a system.

Thank you for solving the cleaning issue, my parts as followed:

cpu: intel 6700k

gpu: gtx 980 ti

ram: corsair 16gb 4x4

hdd: 1tb wd 7200 rpm

ssd: intel 750 400gb

psu: corsair 750 watts atx for factor

fans: 3 140 mm 1 140 mm radiator

pcie wifi adapter: tplink ac1750

And thats everything :)

Your motherboard is important to know as well because of size, which usually can dictate what case you can buy. Like I use a E-ATX motherboard and because of the size I use a pretty massive case.

Sorry, i thought i had missed something, i have really bad perception and so when i am checking and searching for things (such as mistakes) i find i often miss them lol! My mobo is the msi z170a gaming pro
