intel P600 or 850EVO?

i think, many are questioning this, but because of the similar price points of the m.2 850EVO and the intel P600

 

which one do you think i should get?

from the PCPer review, intel's SSD controller seems like it's doing something wonky, speeds are jumping all over the place with difference que depths, though this could be fixed via a firmware update, intel might not, being that this is a cheap, low end device

 

so, do 850EVO vs 600p, which one?

I say 850EVO from past experience/friends rig. Great, fast and some-what affordable. Intel is really good for high end PCI storage.

the 850 EVO is already tested and performs admirably

while 600p is wonky, might get fixed .. when / if

 

I own a 850EVO and I would not trade it for a P600, sincerely

P600 is an NVMe drive and seems to work well for me. I would recommend it.

The review I have read said that the wonky numbers come from large sustained writes. Which unless your hammering on the drive with super large files you shouldn't see. Pcper  said the did some real world testing to reflect this and the drive performed well. As I said I would recommend it. I used it to do a itx build in my living room just for gaming/media and it flies. Plus 256gb for $89 is nice.
