Hello. I'm setting up PCs for myself, my mom, and my brother, and was wondering what cable management tips & tricks you guys have learned for making your desk look neat.

I'm mostly looking for feedback about cable management outside of the case, but if you have any tips or tricks about cable management inside your PC, don't hesitate to share them.

I'm planning to buy some cable drops to manage small cables, like the ones from mice and keyboards, but what about large cables, like HDMI? I don't want to use zipties, because i frequently mess with my system, and want everything to be reusable.

Velcro is a good idea, but gorilla tape/strong adhesive sucks. I used tape attempting to cable manage my last setup, the resin from the tape got onto my cables, and I ended up needing to throw away a few working cables simply because they were gross and sticky.

Yeah, I guess I should elaborate on that, Small, thin strips of tape. Just to keep the small stray wires in place.

I usually avoid zipties, because I want to be able to remove cables from my setup without cutting anything, so that everything can be reused. I even said this in my original post.

however, I will give zipties another chance if they are so good. what makes them superior to something like cable drops. also, I've heard that there are reusable zipties. where can I get them and how good are they?

I have never used reusable ziptyes. I prefer zipties over Velcro ties mainly becuse of the strength and size. I can coil and strap excess cabling extremely tightly with zipties. TBH, other solutions are probably fine. I'm a bit of a ziptie addict, like I literally carry zipties in my wallet. I don't think there is a cable in my house that isn't tied to size with zipties lol.

Sure, but why send your money over-seas?

Go to Lowes if you are in Canada, or Home Depot if you are in the USA.

Meh..

I don't really care where my money goes, as long as I get a quality product.

amazon is just more convenient.
