hello. I want to upgrade my old GPU to a newer one as my current one is a Nvidia Quadro FX1800 it is plugged into a PCIe2 x16 75w. the new graphics card i would prefer would be a Nvidia card i am thinking and 950 or 960 i am wondering what kind of card would be the best for budget to performance, my budget would be under $200. Another thing i would be wondering is with the psu it is a stock psu with a max output of 1000w would I be able to take any 6 or 8 pin connector and plug it in to the gpu? I can provide more questions about my rig if needed thanks!

You don't need 1000w on a computer, your best bet is to wait for a gtx 1050 (if you really need a nvidia over an AMD card, and your upgrades depend entirely on what you'd like to be doing. You need to have that planned out before you buy anything.

I would go for something like a GTX 1060 3gb which is exactly $200

Yup. Should still perform better than any GTX 1050.

What's the rest of your system specs?

I will try to answer this to the best of my abilities sorry if I get any of this wrong. It is a dell precision t7500 with 2 Intel Xeon e5502 at 1.87GHz with 4 1 GB sticks of ram with the stock 1000w psu, it is running windows 10. I hope this helped, and if I were to get a GPU needing a 6pin connector would i just be able to take any 6pin connector and plug it in?
