So i'm building a new system and i'm going to install a m.2 x4 pcie SSD. The mobo I chose is compatible and the SSD is in my price range the only problem is its ugly green PCB. Is there a way to make it match the black and red color scheme of my mobo. I was thinking I could use heat shrink tubing and cut it to size then after I shrink it I  could do whatever to the outside of the tube to make it match. Would this make it overheat? Any other ideas would be appreciated.

It would most likely trap the heat and while it's not as high performance as some of the others out there it still potentially could thermal throttle. I would suggest to get a heatsink/heat spreader, Alphacool came out with one not too long ago:

alphacool requires a minimum of 75 USD to process an order and I don't need anything else they offer do you know if I can get that heat spreader or a similar one anywhere else

I know Cold Zero makes custom Plexi ones but as for the Alphacool one it just came out recently so it doesn't look like there are many stores that have it yet.

What about buying an m.2 SSD with a black PCB? Samsung 950 Series is great performance with a black heat spreader and PCB

I would recommend designing your own heatspreader for your own color scheme and go to some 3D printing company and have them print it

that would be an awesome idea but where could i have that done and how expensive would that be i'm trying to keep the price under 100 USD hence why i'm not settling for a Samsung 950 or a HyperX Predator

I don't know too much about the pricing of it, I had done it through a friends 3d printer and it worked great though.

my friend has a 3d printer but I don't know if the plastics he has would be strong enough to use on a heatsink/heatspreader

Why don't you stick a heat sink on top of it match your theme.
