Buying Windows 10?

Go to solution Solved by Notree,

Make sure its a reputable seller. Buy it and forget about the people saying its illegal. I've never had any issues buying from key sellers. And neither do tons of people. So long as you dont buy from some random.

I have to buy Windows 10 for my new pc but people told me not to buy the OEM version but instead buy a windows key on amazon or kinguin.

As I read these keys on kinguin and amazon are obtained illegally and when Windows knows this your key wil become invalid, is that true?

What should I do?

I'm not sure about " when Windows knows this your key wil become invalid".

But yesterday in my friend's laptop I installed Windows 10 (upgrade). It had Windows 8.1 SL.

The thing is it activated without asking anything. I guess if you have any Windows 7/8.1 key lying around, you should definitely try.

It activated for me.

Sometimes Microsoft does things like this.

You should try.

Also, I've bought the keys from reddit several times. It worked perfectly and no probs.
