Just got my motherboard from the dealer. I sended it to warranty, and got it replaced. Mobo is an asrock 970pro3 R2.0. I installed it, but no post, all the fans ar spinning, even the processors on the mobo heat up. What Could be the cause of no post? I tried with no Ram, 1 Ram, without the CPU. Same results.

If the symptoms are identical with and without the CPU, you probably have a bad CPU. Listen carefully for coil noise and the fan speeds.

One weird thing is that with a bad AMD CPU, if you open the DVD tray, it'll often pull it back in automatically.

You could also have ended up with a board with older BIOS. What CPU do you have?

Doesn't really fix anything but the 450 is supported on the stock BIOS. No need to worry about updating it.

I've did some tests on an older pc, with an am2 slot. It seemd that the lack of CPU, CPU not installed in the socket, didn't gave me no post. Judging by this, the NEW mobo si perfectly fine, but the CPU is faulty.

could you make a picture from top view of your mobo so we could see if all cables are at the right place?

I have already disassembled it, but trust me, I know where cables connect on the mobo, so not the cables are the probem, the problem is that There is no post
