I'm a cinematographer using a MX200 SSD for a hot-swap-able drive in a removable drive bay to backup footage whilst on location and to run my active projects off of so I can put it in a portable drive bay and work on it with my laptop yet still have full sata speeds on my desktop. The only problem is, it won't hotswap. Whenever I try to safety eject, windows reports that it is unable to do so, even with all applications (even tray ones) closed. However, if I eject the drive quickly after adding it, the drive ejects without issue. My mobo (Z97 PC Mate) is in AHCI mode with hotswap enabled on the proper sata port. Has anyone else encountered this issue before? If so, how did you solve it? In lieu of that, anyone have any advice on things to try?
