Broken 980 Ti Oven fix?

is it possible for the oven fix to revive a totally dead GPU? I have a GTX 980 Ti Kingpin I got for free, it powers on and all but it doesn't display a thing, if I connect a second GPU I can see it in device manager but it's stopped because it has reported a problem...

I honestly would have it repaired professionally... 

 

Also check to see if it's still within warranty.

having it repaired professionally, or sending it back is kind of crazy since South africa, the warranty would have been in the US if it were still under warranty (it sadly isn't) it would cost almost as much as a new card for the shipping.

guess I'll try it. I've only been able to revive an actual motherboard (775) with this method so I'll be hoping for the best. (last time I tried a gpu I had to get busy and erm melted the components right out as I left it for over an hour.)
