Cities: Skylines 4K@60fps

Evil E.

Hi everybody,

Let's suppose that I would like to play Cities: Skylines (with some mods and additional assets/props) on a 4K monitor running at 60fps. Leaving the CPU/RAM/... out of the equation, what graphics card(s) would I need to have in order to achieve this ?

(P.S. : Yes, I am fully aware that this game is very CPU-dependent, but this question's focus is about GPU requirements, not CPU)

its a cpu intensive game, not gpu.

but a 1070 would the job just fine, even a 980Ti would.

It's a little hard to say because your framerate in that game is so dependent on what's going on in your city. I suspect that with your CPU out of the equation (which basically requires zooming all the way out or staring at an empty plot of land), the requirements to hit 60 FPS at 4K are probably surprisingly low. GTX 980 Ti/1070 at the most, maybe not even that much.

But to keep in perspective just how abstract that is, I've got a GTX 1070 and I've seen the framerate drop into the mid-teens if I zoom in to some areas of a city of about 200,000.
