So yesterday my computer stopped working, it just would not power on. I figured out it was the power supply and switched it out. I also had to remove my graphics card due to the lower wattage of the PSU. I have an AMD A8-7600k which was working just fine without a graphics card, and everything was the same as before my graphics card. When I turn on, I get nothing, no BIOS or anything, my CPU fan spins up and it sounds like my CPU turns on but I don't get anything else. I know the MB is not dead since the Ethernet cable still flashes and the monitor is still receiving a signal. Dose this mean my RAM is dead? I don't have any spare I can come up with at the moment to test. p.s. Its a micro atx board and I already tried testing both sticks in both slots, and each separability..

Either RAM, or your mainboard.

I have a dead board myself. PC turns on, fans spin, etc.

But nothing more happens. I tested every other component.

See if you can grab some compatible RAM from a relative or friend and try it out.

My suggestion is to make sure the monitor is plugged in, and secured, unplug everything you don't need and just try one stick of ram. See if that brings up the bios.

I already tried that if you had read all the way through.

If the MB was dead then I would not be getting the signal to my monitor or my Ethernet cable (I did mention this!) but yeah I'm trying to get my hands on some more RAM.

Yes, you would.

If one specific thing on your board is dead, but not everything, this can also be a problem.

You have to either get another board or RAM, in order to test, which component is dead.

You could also buy a new board and RAM and test them individually.

After that you send the part(s) you don´t need back to the seller.

Luckily I got a friend I can head to and test the parts, but I was seeing if I could narrow it down between the board and the RAM

Let us (or at least me) know, which component is dead.

I am really interested in what it is.
