Right now I have AT&T Uverse Internet coming in on one line (it's the only thing on that line, my home phone comes in separately) into a Pace 4111N router. While the 4111N is ok, I want to install a couple of AP's myself and be free from my 4111's wireless and ideally get away from its 10/100 restriction.

What's my best way of going about this? Does AT&T offer just a modem for Uverse Internet that I could get so I can use my wireless AP'S? Or do I have to keep my pace 4111N?

What cable is going into your modem/router?

Ifs its a coax cable with a F connector you can replace it.

You can install your own APs

The 100mbs on the router won't limit you, you can add anouther routher on top of that one have have all the data go through 2 routers if you want(and make the first one work in bridge/passthrough mode.
