Battlefield 1 bad performance?

So, I was playing the Battlefield 1 beta and I got some interesting things out of it. I'm not particularly interested in the game, but it was kinda odd the performance I was getting. I have an RX 470 and i5-4460. My GPU is running at 1250 Mhz core clock and 1800 Mhz memory clock done by WattMan. In other games such as Doom, my performance is on par with what benchmarks online say, but in this game I'm not able to get a locked 60 on even the medium preset 1080p. Any reasoning why?

You hit it on the head in first line... BETA... game is not optimized yet and very very VERY limited.

ah i see, thanks. i heard it was well optomized from a couple people so i just assumed it was true, also saw much higher framerates from reference 480s, but maybe its just a bit instable for me. Thanks!
