I am tossing up between a 27inch 1440p Or 29inch 1080p 21:9. Will Have My Old 24inch 1080p As My 2nd Monitor help plz :)

Then 1440p 60hz because you can just fit a 21:9 1080p display worth of pixels inside it for movies

 

or just save up and go for 4k

Walmart has cheap 4k TVs right now, 49" 4k for $299, the upscaling on it isn't too bad either, and then you can check out some 4k video

I am upgrading from my 24inch 1080p monitor to something new.

I am tossing up between a 27inch 1440p Or 29inch 1080p 21:9.
Will Have My Old 24inch 1080p As My 2nd Monitor

I dont really game that much any more I play LOL mostly and a little bit of just what ever is flavor of the month but I really don't game that much. I mostly just watch youtube videos. stream sport, go on reddit and watch movies and tv shows.

What do you guys think :)

27 inch 1440p. A 29 inch 1080 21:9 will look horrible compared to the 1440p one

Don't bother with the 29" 1080p, 27" 1440p will be much nicer.

 

I'd say keep the 24" 1080p and throw it next to the 27" 1440p as a secondary monitor for videos or whatever to be on while you do other stuff on the 1440p monitor.

Like i said i don't really game anymore and I'm more about tv shows movies tube etc so i 100% do not want a tn panel and thus really don't not care about 144hz. but yes its a very good point for someone who's is looking to game a lot which i am not. My 24 inch i have is 120hz but I'm happy to go down for a petter panel for video viewing. 

 

Also im a dota OG and was more excited about data 2 then anyone but the turning mechanic in the game and the movements are so so so bad i won't touch the game. :)

or just save up and go for 4k

Im not going to go 4K as i don't have the horsepower to run 4K and i don't liv in the US so i have to deal with crazy high new zealand and Australia prices. But I appreciate the thought. Do TVs work as a monitor these days every time  i have ever seen a tv used a monitor it looks so so bad?

You just need 4:4:4 Chroma mostly for a good TV monitor thing

If the 21:9 display is significantly cheaper than the 1440p display you could just grab that

Don't worry about driving 4k anything modern can drive 4k no issue, aside from like AAA gaming
