Multimonitor loads when only using one for games

I've been thinking about multi-monitor displays and the loads on them. Linus' video with the triple-ultra-wide-1440p monitors looked at the load when all 3 were used for gaming, but say I had such a setup with a more reasonable PC: would the load be more manageable if the game was only on one of the monitors whilst the rest were either idle on the desktop or showing a wiki page or something? I'm asking as my intended use would benefit hugely from more monitors, but I prefer to use only one monitor for games.

Cheers.

If you're using secondary monitors for browser tabs and things like that, it doesn't really affect framerate at all.

Yes, you can pretty much game while using the other display for something completely different. I personally play fairly intensive games while watching videos stored on my server. My system specs can be found on my profile, which I'd say are fairly average.

Good! So I should be able to enjoy good high frame rates when I have 3 or 4 monitors. Thanks
