New PC Build

Tech Wizard

Greetings adventurers!

I'm going to build a new gaming PC this upcoming week, with some parts from my current PC. Follow this topic for result pictures after new build is up :)

The new build will have a new case + GPU (rest of the parts from current PC). Here's a picture of my current PC: http://imgur.com/a/qelsC
As you can see, the current Chieftech case looks really bad, has poor airflow, and no cable management options. Therefore, I have decided to house my new build inside a case with better space & options. I have also sold the GTX 970 Strix in the picture, for better performance from a new GPU. Below is the final build parts/specs :)

New build - part list:

CPU: i7 4930K (4,4GHz OCd)
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (NEW)
RAM: 24GB DDR3 @ 1866MHz
MOBO: ASUS X79 Deluxe

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master: Hyper 212 EVO (considering to get water cooling for higher OC/better temps. Any recommendations?)
PSU: OCZ ZT 750W
HDD: Samsung - 475GB
SSD: Kingston 225GB

Case: Fractal Design - Define R5 Black (NEW)

Currently, I'm just waiting for the new GPU + Case to arrive, so I can start building. Do you have a suggestion for a strong liquid cooler for my CPU, so I can overclock higher with lower temps?

As mentioned above, follow/tag this thread for result pictures of the new build. Wish me luck :)

Main:  1650 v2   @ 4,6GHz   -   X79 Deluxe                -   GTX 1080 @ 2000MHz   -   24GB DDR3 @ 2400MHz / CL10

Side:   i7-4790K @ 4,5GHz   -   Maximus 7 Hero        -   GTX 1070 @ 2114MHz    -  16GB DDR3 @ 2666MHz / CL12

I would recommend the corsair H100i as it is has a 240 x 120 mm radiator which provides more than enough cooling for stock clocks and good headroom for overclocking.

*2x120mm or 240mm as what you're saying is 240x120 which equals 28800mm ;)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Oh i meant to say it has 2 120mm fans which means it has a 240mm by 120mm radiator :)

But it's loud AF so get aftermarket fans for it.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Thanks for your suggestions! I did some research on both. They seem to cool down a CPU hard, but both has loud fans, and read that the Kraken X61's software/drivers has a lot of bugs. Hmmm...

My suggestion would be these three

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Cooler: LEPA AquaChanger 240 103.6 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Case Fan: Fractal Design HP12-PWM 61.4 CFM  120mm Fan  ($16.98 @ Newegg)
Case Fan: Fractal Design HP12-PWM 61.4 CFM  120mm Fan  ($16.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $108.95
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

This particular AIO is really good but its fans aren't, so get some good ones for it.

Thanks again for another suggestion, but I think I'm going to stick with my CM: Hyper 212 EVO for now. Let me finish the new build, and maybe then I'll see about watercooling. Now, let the waiting games begin! :D

If you don't mind the 212 EVO sound, serve yourself.

Consider buying the good fans first, put them on you EVO and then later get watercooling :)
