I really wouldn't spend less than this. Personally I'd go for a 6300 though.

You can't get much with $140.

Thanks, you think I should go with the AMD FX-6300 or AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black or maybe spend an extra 20$ and get AMD FX-6200 ? ty

I'd get the 6300. I'm not clear on the difference between the 6200 and the 6300 but I don't think it's worth the extra $20.

The 6300 is better than the 6200. Pricing is just weird.

Get the 6300 http://cpuboss.com/cpus/AMD-Phenom-II-X4-Black-980-vs-AMD-FX-6300

Thanks man! You might be able to help me, I'm looking for a PC that can play BF3 (On Mid 720p) mostly and some other games much less demanding then BF3... (Such as LoL) I want to record while playing however my budget is very small... The lower the budget is the faster I can start ordering the parts. I want to make this build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1OzV2 more cheaper (If possible) without sacrificing much preformence, you think you might be able to help? My budget can go up to 450$ but again, the lower the better... (That can play BF3 at Mid 720p) Ty.

Slight edits: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1OAo8

Should easily max out most games at 720p.

Are you able to reuse your case? If so, I'd use this build but no case and a bigger psu.

The 7870 comfortably runs on a cx430 with the included adapter.

I have a case but I'm scared it's too small... I don't know how to tell it's size. Would it help if I measure it and tell you the exact size?

How many pci slots does it have in the back?

I would watch out. The quality of the cx430 varies. I have had one that couldn't handle an fx 6300 @ 4.3Ghz 1.35v and a Gtx 660. I just avoid them now cause that wasn't fun to explain to the person who just purchased it. Also, i have had two DOA cx430's prior to that. Haven't had that problem with the cx500 or cx600, though.

DO NOT GET A BIOSTAR BOARD

even the board that im using has 4+1 vrm and i wouldnt reccomend it for anything over a quad core.

http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboards-vrm-info-database

get something with a 6+2 for a 6 core (8+2 is better if you plan to get an 8320 later)

save the cash if you have to, budgeting is a good idea but trying to cram it in to a deadline by cheaping out on a component (or component's) is always a recipe for problems

why is no one recommending fm2? i think that would be more "future proof" then am3 as we see amd moving more and more towards completely apus and they have said fm2 will work with next gen of apus.

my recommendation:

 PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1OOrn

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 750K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($79.98 @ Outlet PC)
Motherboard: Asus F2A55-M/CSM Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard  ($69.99 @ Microcenter)
Memory: Kingston Blu Red Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory  ($48.96 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card  ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Silverstone PS08B (Black) MicroATX Mid Tower Case  ($34.90 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Cooler Master i500 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply  ($42.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $446.80
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

only changed the psu because people were complaining it will be $421 if u go with the corsair psu which should be fine.

yea, I used to suggest them a lot but because most worked perfectly in low power consumption builds. But, i have never experience that many problems with other psu's.

The cx430 works just fine for me with a 3350P and 7850. You might have just been unlucky.

3350p and 7850 combined have a much lower TDP(199w). Especially when you consider that the fx6300 is an unlocked chip that can use between 120w-150w mattering on the overclock. Tack on the 7870's TDP of 175w and you get up to 295-325w. The cx430 effective power is 340-360w mattering on the load. That's really close when you tack on all the other hardware. I think it would just be safer to get the cx500.

Corsair 250d - - Delidded i7 4770k @ 4.4GHz (1.15v) - - Asus Maximus VI Impact - - Corsair h100i

Asus DirectCU II OC GTX780 - - NZXT x41 & G10 w/ Push/Pull Noctua IndustrialPPC's - - Corsair ax760i

16GB Corsair Vengeance 2133Mhz  - - Samsung 840 pro (boot) - - Samsung Evo (gaming) - - WD green HDD (data)

You said you had 2 doa's.

The 7870 is + 6300 is actually just hitting the sweet spot for power draw and psu load. It should draw ~300w for the entire system.
