Sennheiser Game One's

Hey guys/gals,

I currently have an Astro A50 wireless system and am very unsatisfied with it. Short battery life, mediocre support, mediocre sound quality, mediocre mic. At the time I got it I liked it because it was one of the best wireless headsets I could find. But after using them for over a year.... I need to go back to wired.

I am not an Audiophile and truly only use headsets for gaming. These Sennheiser Game One's seem pretty good for the money ~$150 and that is what I am looking to spend at the most. I have on board audio (my Asus X99 Deluxe board). So just looking for some feedback on these before I pull the trigger.

I am a bit daft when it comes to audio. What do you mean by sound signature? Like too much bass or treble?

I did some research and they seem to be neutral on the sound stage. I went ahead and ordered the black ones.

hold up 1 sec. Sound stage and sound signature is not the same, those things are very different.

One is about how the sound is (sound signature), the other one is about how the sound "feels" like inside your head or like you are at that place IRL, the bigger the sound stage the more it sound like you are there IRL aka less inside your head and it is also easier to pin point where sound is coming from with a big sound stage than a small one.

I have allways liked the black more than white. Also the ONE is the open version so it swill leak sound

Hah, my apologies. I meant to say sound signature. End users says it is neutral in that regard but I'll know for sure once I get it. It will easily be better than the Astro A50! I tolerated the Astro for quite a while because I liked the wireless but it really isn't good for the money.

I am ok with some sound leak. I game in a separate room on the other side of the home.

Thank you for your help Dackzy.
