Lost my Wallet - SOBER!!!!!!

You ever be walking out n about and see one shoe on the ground. That is drunk people losing stuff.

 

2 nights ago I go to bed and look at my jeans on the floor, thinking I should check to see if my wallet is in the back pocket because the jeans were folded in a way that looked like my wallet was not in the back pocket. Last night, repeat so I go to bed and check my jeans on the floor for my wallet. Nope not there. I couldnt stop thinking about it and I do a quick check. Desk, no. Floor, no. Top of chest, no. Went to bed. This morning do a couch check, no. Make a list of cards that were in my wallet. Retrace me steps from last time I used my wallet. Do some calls. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I lost my wallet SOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is very rare, only happened once before 15 years ago. Left my wallet ontop of the change machine at a laundromat. But I went back and someone had it and gave it to me.

Check the bathroom. Happened me once when I was heading for a weekend trip and day before noticed my wallet was gone. Did a lot of searching and tracing my past without luck. I went so far that I cancelled all of my cards and went to get cash from bank for the trip. After the trip I just casually went to do some sitting in the toilet and the wallet was there, just under the toilet. I always carry my wallet in back pocket and it must have slipped out from there and I must have kicked it a little so it couldn't be seen. I still feel stupid about that, but things happen and we learn from them.

Well the good thing is I only went out on Monday evening, Tim Hortons, then met some friends somewhere else, then home. Havent left the house since then. I remember getting change and putting cash in wallet. I remember placing my wallet on the counter at Tim Hortons cant remember before or after I put cash in wallet. Might be in my buddies car. Other then that, wallets just dont slip out of back jean pockets. Luckily the only thing of real consequence is my Social Ins # card, Car2Go car sharing card for those wimpy 2 door Shmart cars (but I think I can use the cell), and a prepaid visa card with very little money on it. Maybe fishing license.

My ex gave me my wallet over a decade ago, my wife would be thrilled if I lost it.

Wallets dont last long. The one I had was Dickies and it lasted the longest, bought from Walmart. It was on its last legs. Probably 3 yrs it lasted.

Leather is the way to go for longevity.

 

Mine is a roots wallet of some kind and still has many years of service left in it.

How the hell do you treat your wallets? I have had the same wallet for almost 13 years and it's still going strong. 

 

Strangly enough, I tend to lose my things when I'm sober. 

As far as I know I have never lost anything while drunk. 

At one occasion I woke up after a drunken stupor in Cologne (an 800km train ride) and I still had all my stuff.

LMFAO I did the same, came to somewhere in Germany, still dont remember the town. Lost or maybe stolen backpack. Lost which hotel room I was staying in, but I think it might have been a brothel. Octoberfest Munich drunk with Europass.

 

I lost many things while drunk, inlcuding one shoe. Rarely if ever do I lose wallet or keys.

Maybe you take your wallet out of your back pocket all the time, or you have a really strong wallet.

Maybe I just buy cheap wallets that dont last long. $20 at Walmart. Maybe the $50-$100 wallets with better leather last longer, I do not know.

You don't need to spend $120+ on a good wallet.

 

You can find excellent leather wallets for $40-$50 at places like Bentley. I have one that I got maybe 3 years ago, and this wallet looks brand new still. It's leather, and I put it in my back pocket and use it every day, so it gets plenty of use.

I'm a very forgetful person, so I don't really need to be drunk to loss my stuff. 

I often forget to put on shoes before I leave a place, which has cost me quite a few shoes over the years.

 

You don't need to spend a lot of money on a good wallet. 

The wallet I have is a no-name brand, probably PU leather wallet that an ex-girlfriend bought me once.

I can't imagine that she spent more than $40 on it.
