RAM Problem

I have just finished a build with an i7 6800k sitting on an Asus strix x99 motherboard and I am having a problem getting one of my four sticks of ram to show up in the bios or in the windows control panel. I am a novice PC builder and I'm not quite sure what the best way to go about trouble shooting this problem is. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 4x4 configuration of Ram.

you have to figure out if it's the RAM stick or the motherboard RAM slots that are the problem.

Try swapping out the sticks around see if that changes anything

you can try one stick at a time in a slot you know is working and if all 4 work in the same slot then it maybe the slot that is bad, I got the same motherboard, and the main complaint i see from people on this motherboard is dead ram slots.

Memtest it....

best way to see if something is wrong with RAM

also do 2-4 passes for each stick

first in single channel (test each one)

then in dual channel (test every combination)

then in tri channel (again test every combination)

then in quad channel (and again test every combination)

then after you have found the stick that is causing problems, return it and then get a new one,

then buy some lollies your work is done

****SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH IT'S REALLY TERRIBLE*****

Been married to my wife for 3 years now! Yay!
