Semi budget 6600k is my cpu of choice and I found the 980ti on microcenter for $379 so I'm debating whether getting it or invest in a 1070 or 1080

I'd opt for the GTX 1070 since it's not too much more. Ignore the GTX 1080 and bump that CPU up to the i7 6700K.
