Computer turns off immediately on high load

Whenever I try some gpu intensive load, my computer powers off immediately once the programs start utilizing gpu  before it can even reach 60C. Initially, while gaming it would power off after a long time time, but after a while it started powering off immediately once gpu load is high. High cpu load without high gpu load never turns off the pc

 

Specs:

PSU: Corsair vs 550 

CPU: intel 4690k

GPU: nvidia gtx 970

Motherboard:  ASUS z97-A

 

Is that bad power supply ?

it means yhe components arnt getting enough power and the Corsair VS Series is not at all good.

there is a PSU whitelist around on the forums somewhere which will tell you whats good

Could be.

Also it could be because of overheating. or something else.

corsair vs 550 is a bad psu. get a better power supply and the problem should be fixed.

it powers off immediatey before the gpu can even start its fans. the temps don't even reach 60C

My guess is the PSU. VS-series are not what you want for a gaming rig.
