Hi, I've been recently encountering an issue on the RX 480 where it'll bsod randomly no matter what I'm doing.  I know it's not a power draw issue, I'm using 430w on what was calculated on cooler master psu calculator to be about 300 watts.  I have tried different driver versions from 16.7.1-16.8.2 (that and what's in between) and win7, and win10 to try and fix this issue with no luck.  Please help!

System build?

What type of PSU?

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

I'm just using a pentium g3258, so it doesn't use much power at all.

I think you underestimate the level of shit that are the EVGA 400W and 430W PSUs. What make and model of GPU were you running beforehand?

what do you mean by beforehand?  I've only had this one, it's an rx 480 reference running at stock speeds.  Should I underclock the pentium and 480?

No, you should get a new PSU. EVGA makes nothing worth owning below 500W.

I underclocked and I haven't had a problem since.  Thanks for telling me it was power related!

Speaking as someone who has lost a very nice Z97 motherboard, an older (but very hard to find) X58 motherboard and, oh yeah, an i7-4790K to the same brand new, high-end power supply as it failed spectacularly, I feel the need to warn you that if your shit-tier power supply is defective and/or can't keep up, and you know it's defective and/or can't keep up but choose to keep using it anyway, it's 100% on you when it goes boom and takes half your system with it.
