Using Mac Trackpad externally

Hi.

 

I have a 2010 MacBook (the white one) that I purchased when my old one crapped out on me. I still have the old machine and it's only the screen that is broken, but I don't want to replace the screen because my current laptop works fine.

 

I am asking if it is possible to put the trackpad out of the broken MacBook that I know works into a caddy of some form and use it via USB.

 

If it is possible, it'd be great if somebody could link me to a caddy or even a tutorial of converting it.

PS: I know that the Magic Trackpad exists, it's just super expensive.
