First Time Builder (am I missing anything)

Hey guys, I'm about to take a MicroCenter run next Saturday (hopefully there'll be a sale for Labor Day) to finally build my first gaming PC. I really need to know if I have everything (Microcenter is like 90 minutes away, I'd hate to get home and realize I forgot something that I assumed was included with the case or mobo). 

 

I put a lot of thought into the parts I've selected, and they're pretty much set. However, I am open to suggestions. All prices listed are from MicroCenter except: SSD which I will be buying with a BestBuy gift card; Win10 which I intend to get from Kinguin; and HDD which I already have (along with mouse/keyboard/controller).

all i'd suggest is swapping out the cpu cooler for the criorig H7 if possible

and 1 16 GB stick for upgrade-ability later

I would highly recomend buying online if possible you will save more than $100 shopping online. But one thing I wouldn't recommend is the HUE.... It is a very overated piece of tech and if you're on a budget i would go for more of a deepcool LED kit. But besides that good choice on parts and always love the Hyper 212 although it is a pain in the a$$ to instal and is very um mobile it works great. Good Luck!

I just looked, MC doesn't carry the Cryorig, but I intend for my first upgrade to be an AIO. As far as the RAM, aren't there benefits to having dual channel? I might upgrade to more later, but figured 16 should be good for now...

I actually first did the build using PCPC's "lowest advertised price" option for all the parts, and MC came out cheaper. I'm also one of those people who kinda get's off on going to the store and assembling a buggy full of parts lol...

 

MC has some other LED kits, so I'll take a look at other options. I just keep seeing that Hue+ all over the place and figured it must be pretty decent. Thanks for the tip...

Yeah I personally love microcenter it is just that there price match doesn't apply to a lot of websites which is frustrating. And the HUE is decent it is just highly over priced for something that won't actually make a difference to your performance...

Before I head out, I generally order everything online for store pick up.  You can't pay for it until you get there, but they pull all the parts for you and you get to use the shorter check out line.  When I show up I walk the store looking for anything else I might want before heading over to the online checkout counter.  

 

A couple of added benefits of ordering ahead is that they won't sell out of an item that you want before you get there and you don't mistakenly forgot something, which is something easily done when your distracted by everything in MC.  They will only hold the parts for a few days before putting them back on the shelf and there's no expenses associated with you deciding not to buy them.

That is a great tip! I thought about it, but decided against it because I wanted to get their 0% credit card deal for 12 months. If you don't pay till you get there, I'll be doing that for sure Friday before work! Awesome!
