Okay, so i was testing CPU temps and i let a 5 minute intel XTU stress test run, what i saw shocked me, why is this happening? The CPU is a Intel core i5-3550, thermal compound is Cooler master IC Essential E1, and the CPU cooler is a Cooler Master Blizzard T2 mini. I have not changed ANYTHING related to CPU clock speeds or voltage. Should these kind of temps appear with an aftermarket cooler?Wppd6ZP.png

Forgot, i once even changed the thermal paste and put a quite lot more, spread it out and even checked, that it covered the CPU properly!

When you're putting thermal paste on the CPU, less is better. You only want about a small pea sized dot in the middle then let the pressure of your heat sink spread it out over the chip. When you put to much on, it actually hurts the performance and causes temps to rise up.

it really doesnt matter, lmg did a video and slathered on a ton of paste with almost no difference, if you have any paste on its probably fine.

Well i really don't know much about Coolers, but this one uses the Intel's way to making annoying mounting mechanisms :(

well don't expect too much from such a tiny cooler, especially on stress tests. Such a stress test put more stress at all components of a cpu than real world scenarios could ever do. So basically if you want lower temps, new cooler.

What temps are you getting while gaming/ rendering whatever?
