I Want To Stream...

I want to stream! 

 

I was toying with the thought of getting a dedicated streaming PC for doing so, in which, that would make everything so much easier. 

HOWEVER! I don't have a great deal of space in my living situation for such a setup. Money isn't too much of an issue. so, It's not so much a budget question. 

Originally, I was thinking i'd be doing myself a favour getting the 6900K. However, i'm worried that the gaming performance plus streaming on a CPU that has quite a low clock speed would hinder me quite a bit. Though, there is Overclocking...

 

Honestly, i'm not sure. I'd like to know what you all think of this situation. And any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

tbh you should be able to stream and game on same pc with those specs, but if  u want completely flawless get an mini itx motherboard and mini itx case, for ur space situation, get an 1060,i5/i7, an elgato and hook it up to both pc's, boom

Many people stream and game on i7-6700k and a good GPU with no problems. U dont need to spend tons of money. And if u dont have any following on twitch it doesnt really make sense to go for 2 PC setup.

If u want more cores u can still go for 6800K with (3.4Ghz base clock). And u can OC that to 4 and be totally fine. Or just keep your money for now and get Kabylake when it comes out this year.

The first requirement for streaming is having enough upload bandwidth to do it. For a 1080p stream you will want at least 10Mb of upload.

If your internet is not good enough, then even with a $1000 CPU you will have trouble.
