Desks

Go to solution Solved by Alexcalibur,

Go to ikea and get an Alex desk, they work great

Hi hi, I was looking into a new desk since I got rid of my old one. I'm moving into a new house, so I figured I would look around for a better desk...maybe something worth it for a little more money.

These are a few of the desks I'm looking at:

Atlantic 33950212 Gaming Desk Pro

EvoDesk Ultimate

I forget the rest, but what kind of desks give my the best bang for my buck. I don't really care about looks as much as I do functionality.

I want to be able to mount, or be able to place 3, 34 inch monitors.

WOW! That's amazing, they can just stick the word Gaming into the product name and description and raise the price by $100?! FAWK ME! I need to start selling everything with the word Gaming in it!

It's as bad as the Baby products, except Baby products have been around long enough for everyone one selling any for babies to have a competitor selling the same junk with the word Baby in the product name.

Those desks look seriously cheap as.

Ryzen 7 2700x | MSI B450 Tomahawk | GTX 780 Windforce | 16GB 3200
Dell 3007WFP | 2xDell 2001FP | Logitech G710 | Logitech G710 | Team Wolf Void Ray | Strafe RGB MX Silent
iPhone 8 Plus ZTE Axon 7 | iPad Air 2 | Nvidia Shield Tablet 32gig LTE | Lenovo W700DS

Shrug, the reviews for them haven't been bad. A lot of those reviews are people that have had it a while, so that's how I judged them.

Actually, the EvoDesk doesn't look to bad... but it's ridiculously expensive. Still... if you have the money... looks fine to me.

That other one tho... it's a piece of work.

I'm kind of indifferent to the cost, as long as it isn't too much over 1000. I love it has warcraft 3: FT on it...

I wanted a HUGE top so I bought a file cabinet that was the perfect height and built a identical one out of 2x4s to house my desktop. Then placed a granite counter top on them. Valla. Best $45 ever spent. I searched online forever and the cost was either way to high or I was making sacrifices which I hate doing.

Personally I'd get a BEKANT desk from IKEA, they're not that expensive, come with a 10 year warranty and are height-adjustable. They are also available in a variety of colors/finishes, shapes and sizes. Now that's baller!

It's ok, to much forward desk room for me. I found this one to be pretty nice https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G540EIM/

There's no such thing as too much desk space, especially if you want a triple 34'' monitor setup. You'll be gimping yourself with a desk like that.

I like the L shaped desks as well. The problem was they aren't deep enough for me. I like my monitors to be far away opposed to right in my face. There's soooo many factors in play when getting a desk.

If you're wondering what a setup looks like on a BEKANT, here's a picture: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cfm_PESUIAEM5k6.jpg:large

The BEKANT line also has L shaped desks but it's definitely nothing like the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G540EIM/

PS: The monitor in the 1st picture is 27''.
