Hello,

I'm looking for a new laptop. I'm really looking at an Asus ROG, a Mac Book Pro, or the Razer Blade. I will be doing school work on it and light gaming with lots of YouTube when away from my workstation at home. I would like it to be light enough to carry in a backpack and I don't really care about screen size but I would prefer a 1440p display. Please let me know if you have any recommendations! :D Also, I have around a $1500 budget, it can be higher or lower, not too stingy with the budget here.

Many thanks,

Richard

I've been drooling over the Lenovo Ideapad 700, but I think the blade stealth would be the best option for school because you should probably keep work and play separated. Keep your games on your desktop, your school on your laptop.

Yeah! I won't actually be taking that laptop to school, though just school work while away from home or somewhere else in my house.

Macbook is good. Asus Rog no. Razer Blade no.

If you can pick up a refurb quad core 15in MBP, it's a really good choice for school work and youtube.

Another great option is a T460s with the 1440p screen.

Might not be the best price for a second hand/refurb one but it was the first one with a 1440p I found LOL.

You would also recommend the Macbook for CS:GO gaming?

Yea...I said to get the quad core macbook pros with at least the i7-4770hq. These quad cores have intel graphics 5200 which is perfectly capable of 60fps 1080p on CSGO.
