I5-4690K Upgrade?

Would you recommend an AIO for the I5 4690k?

Yes. I have a Swiftech H220 on mine. The one I would recommend these days is the EKWB Predator 240. Probably the best 240mm AIO out there. If you can support a 280mm, the Kraken X61 is a great option as well.

Hey there, so I just got my exam results in, and have some money to splash, now I was considering going to the I5-4690K and a Asus Z97M (I don't it isn't the best board for an O/C but I'd only put a minimal OC on at the most in the future) however, should I consider waiting for AMD's ZEN Architecture? Or just go to the I5-4690K? I'm also considering going to a 1070 at the end of this year potentially ;P or If I can afford it a 1080ti (If it's out)

 | CPU: AMD FX 8350 + H100i | GPU: AMD R9 290X + NZXT Kraken | RAM: HyperX Beast 2033 16GB | PSU: EVGA G2 | MOBO: ASRock 970M |

| CASE: Corsair Carbide 88R |STORAGE: 1x WD Black | KEYBOARD: Corsair K70 | MOUSE: R.A.T 9 |

Its to early to tell with Zen, and with it rumored to be pushed back for release until early 2017 I would go with the i5 4690k. Its a very solid chip, I just upgraded from mine to the 6700k.

i5 4690k would be a good option, or if you can spend a little more the i5 6600k and a z170 mobo would be an even better option as it's a bit newer and has quite a few new features, though if they'd be of no use to you, you might as well save some money as performance won't be that different.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Why not get a 6600K? No point in going with an older gen unless it's significantly cheaper.

I will look into it

lol, I think he mis-read your post thinking you were asking if you should sell a 4690k and not upgrade to it.
