Bios up-to-date? using an unlocked CPU?

Oh, okay but it's still not meant to be overclocked and maybe that caused some kind of issue. Otherwise you can try updating the BIOS or rebooting a few times or something.

maybe it rolled to the other bios then...

Clear CMOS and try again... It reminds me of that episode of Scrapyard Wars, where Linus made the deal of a bad OC and you had to reset to defaults. Good luck!
