Sooo I am not sure how many people would know this, and even less know in the U.S. but I am curious if something like this  (in pictures) is legal to drive in the United States,  or even Canada for that matter.  If anyone happens to know for some reason then please let me know.  It looks like the one bus is located in Germany, the other one im not really sure, I know it says "Euro 5" but from what I know that just means that the vehicle is "Eco-Friendly" but dunno if that is what it represents on that bus or whatever.  Those bus' Would make a BADASS "Bug-Out" vehicle, just black it out and after gutting one of those.......geeez, skys the limit really. I wonder if you could turn it into a "Double Decker" too! Something like that last pic, only setup like the other buses that have the linked parts with the ability to walk through, which by the looks of those other pictures is how those other 2 work,  How badass would that be lol.

Thanks Folks,

Rich

I am not sure if this is real or not but, this is basically what I would LOVE to get for like a ultimate "Bug Out Vehicle" lol, aka a rolling Man Cave! Haha. I am guessing if they ARE ok in U.S. that it most likely would require a CDL, I imagine that wouldn't be easy to drive lol

Yes, buses are legal in Canada and the US... why wouldn't they be?

You, of course, need a special license to drive one though, and a good one is going to be the price of a house. But that's besides the point.

Different jurisdictions have different regulations on the allowable length of a combination unit.  A couple of the pictures posted above look too long for British Columbia.

A true bug-out vehicle will have a mechanical diesel engine, for the most extreme resistance to EMP, which means you're looking at older rigs to find one.

I am asking about the length of these buses, I know in Ohio semi trucks can pull I think up to 3 trailers, here in Michigan it cant be over 2, so there is some type of length restriction or something here, or it may just be how many "connections" are in play im not sure, basically why I asked

Again, depends on jurisdiction.  There are potential restrictions on number of pivots, what kind of pivots, payload based on type of pivot, axle loading and spacing between axles, etc.

So a pretty open ended question.

Though to be fair, if you really need a bug-out vehicle like that, Society has already collapsed, and we're experiencing some sort of Post-Apocalyptic event... In which case, fuck local legislation xD

my comment was more towards Dalekphalm sorry Navy I didnt read your message when i replied to Dale's I just forgot to hit the "Reply" icon when I did it. But yea your message was right on what I was looking for answers on. Yea basically I would need to find the vehicle I wanted before knowing much more because of laws but what really sucks is how laws change so much from state to state. So it wouldnt be able to be used as like a Road Trip vehicle lol, but really if I just make it as a bad ass Bug Out Vehicle and just drive it around my own state (if it did turn out to be legal) for now and then if I ever DID need to use it as a "Bug Out" vehicle then shit probably hit the fan and not really like I would be giving a damn about those pesky "Law" things at that time ahah

Thanks,

Rich
