Okay, I bought a new computer setup. I also got the new Deus X game and I cannot seem to figure out why I am maxing out at 29-39 fps on max settings with a resolution of only 1920x1080 resolution.

The setup consists of:

Intel i7 5820k
ASrock x99 Extreme 4
32 Gigs of Ram DDR4
GTX 980ti Classified SLI
850 Watt Gold plus

etc etc..

Did i mess up on my build or what. I can overclock but without water cooling results are minimal. However I'm sure i can achieve at least aa constant 50 fps with what I have.

SLI can wreck things but it shouldn't be that bad.

Make sure the obvious things are set up correctly such as Nvidia Control Panel settings and game settings.

Does it work as expected in other games or benchmarks?

Make sure you have no settings enabled anywhere like super sampling (SSAA) as these can destroy performance.

A few news outlets have reported that Deus Ex Mankind Divided (which I always misspell as Manking because I'm a dork) puts heavy stress even on very advanced hardware. Considering how the videogaming market works nowadays, this is likely to be more of a driver issue than anything else. I'd say that players will start seeing considerable performance improvements after NVidia and AMD release new drivers.

Haven yields 120 average but the min is like seriously low (20). I have went through the control panel and everything was set up correctly it seems. Anything particular you are meaning for me to look for? And i did have SSAA. I just assumed with what I had set up would be able to handle that.

Maybe you mean MSAA. SSAis a type of ambient occlusion. MSAA is very resource intensive. Turning it down (or disabling it completely) will increase performance by quite a bit.

But then again, raw power means (almost) nothing if the software does not collaborate. This is something that PC gamers have been dealing with for at least 10 years. Expect to see at least a patch in the next month and a driver update that will ramp up the performance. Yes, people are Nixxes are a bit of AMD fans, but they never left NVidia users in the dust.

To give you an idea my last build was a Pentium duo with a gts 240 so I really didnt know what to go with AMD, nVidia and so on..

Everyone on the Internet has an opinion about their favourite brand of graphics cards, and they feel compelled to share it with you, whether you like it or not. My advice is "just use whatever you think is better for you". If you're satisfied with your current graphics card, that's great. If not, trade it in, get a refund, and get a different one from the competing brand.

But yeah I'm new but not new.. If you know what I mean. I was interested in all of this but life picked me up and said I could only eat sleep and work. Once i caught a break I wanted to get a build that would hopefully last me 5 to 7 years hopefully.

It will. Luckily these aren't the '90s anymore :D

Yeah well what are your opinions on overclocking should i even worry? Plus I ordered the reference cards but they sent me the Classified so I don't know if I should. I have been reading that people have been getting a stable clock of 1500 MHz but I don't know.
