Is Windows Defender good?

So the only anti-virus type thing that i have is Windows Defender, and I don't know if it's really any good. I keep it updated, it actually updated not even 30 minutes ago from the time of this post.

It's my preferred anti-virus solution. That, along with system scans using malwarebytes is a pretty effective solution for preventing virus and malware. 

 

So yeah, I'd say it's good. Find it much less intrusive than other anti-virus programs.

it is ok but there are much better ones windows defender has like a 86% detection ratio Bitdefender free is what i use and it's detection ratio is 99.8%

you should also have malware bytes and hitman pro for second opinion scanners

i was using malwarebytes but i lost my key a while ago
