Will PCI-E extender affect GPU performance?

I'm planning to build a super slim PC. If I use pci-e extender with GTX780 or R9-290X, will it affect the performance? Really want to build something like this. Look so good.

:o Holy shit does gtek sell the Tenuis by case alone? I'm willing to purchase one for my next build.

I think you can contact them for the case alone. I'll try to make something similar to Tenuis. Maybe out of wood instead aluminium.

I just read on their spec page that only cards up to 180mm are supported :/

That's a bummer meh, guess i need to go custom if i want something like this! Or i may send an email for them to build me a larger one :P  The quote is probably gonna end up being pretty expensive though

As long as the PCI-E extender is short, then you should be fine (performance and stability)

Like any wire, you have a max length. PCI-E max length is unknown to us, but one can safely assume that it can be up to the max of extended ATX motherboard length from the first PCI-E slot. Basically, PCI-E max wire length, should allow to have a PCI-E slot at the far end of an extended ATX form factor. As you'll be extending the first PCI-E, now you know your max length.

Well hopefully a similar variant of the 880/870 or some from AMD comes out :P

Should fit a 760 :)

I already got a 7950 so my next build is only going more powerful! [Hopefully with style as well]
