Recently, I have eoungh budget to get my first video rig for my small production, however, something is not going right.

I have installed 4 Team Xtreem DDR3 1600 ram on my Intel DZ87KLT-75K motherboard,

the BIOS seems happy with the ram, but not the windows 7 ultimate 64bit.

I tried uncheck the msconfig "Max memory", reposition the rams, updated BIOS. I am out of skills to diagnosis the problem..

It shows the problem below:

Can anyone help me out to get that 200MB back for usage? Thanks.

KarsonC.

If you are running onboard GPU it can be from that, check the bios again to see how much RAM is configured to share with it. I don't have an onboard GPU and i have "8.00 GB" of RAM in the same screenshot you have.

EDIT: I've done some research , your CPU has a built in GPU side http://ark.intel.com/products/77656. If you have a dedicated GPU you most likely can turn off the onboard one also in the bios and your ram should be back up to 32 gigs.

Well...  Just asking, but anyone knows why Microsoft reserves the memory for? I admit 200MB just not much as the application running at the background take it easy....
