Firefox dying and Chrome exploded

So i've been a kind of a loyal user yo Firefox for quite a while (since i can remember back in 2006) suddenly this year its being awfull, it refuses to load videos most of the times, crashes alot, and alot, freezes doesnt load videos properly etc etc so i went for chrome having enough of firefox this year, and after 2 weeks chrome suddenly doesnt load any pages at all, is just a blank space ._. idk what to do, should i just give up and use Edge?

Main PC:| CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 @ 4.1, MOBO: Asus B350 PRIME , RAM: LPX Vengance 2400 16gb kit, GPU: 980Ti Poseidon Platinum 6gb

love all brands, will go for whats cheaper for my needs

Sounds like viruses tbh. Check your extensions and toolbar kind of add ons and see if anythings funky in there

Well, everything since fine, it just died suddenly one day, it doesnt even open the settings, idk if i have a virus, since everything else works just fine like always, im going to do a fresh install next week when i get a new SSD so, is not that urgen is just plain anowing

I'd just bear with it for now until you do a clean install next week then. I would've recommended you do that anyways if you didn't already mention you were going to do that.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

yea /: its been almost 2 years since i did a fresh install, i have loads of crap, jus wanting to get a bigger SSD since 128gb isnt enough for me + my ssd is broken so yea

Reinstall windows. I had some issues with chrome and a reinstall fixed it.
If you are having lag, setting up a ramdisk and putting browser cache on it should help.

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

 

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.
