Opinions on my 2nd Ever Build

sotik

So a couple key notes here. Firstly is that I have a $2,000 budget, I know I could keep this cheaper but that's not really my goal here. Secondly would be that I am a casual hardcore gamer, and what I mean by that is I am a hardcore gamer in the fact that I love playing games and play a lot of games including the newest and best games. However I am casual when I play games. I am not out to be the best of the best I just play for fun, so the mouse and keyboard are more for the theme of my computer then they are for being top of the line tech.

Tone down that PSU to a EVGA G2 650W or 750W if you want some headroom, 850W is too much, though I have to say, 99$ is not a bad price for it. Modern components are much more energy efficient than they used to be.

Swap the SSD for a Samsung 850 EVO or Pro. They've proven their quality.

Apart from that, do your thing. :)

I went with that mouse only because it matched my theme. And isn't the keyboard the one I listed?

Also what is your opinion on those headphones? I heard the bass in them sucks, which is why I shied away from them.

No reason to swap out the SSD unless the 850 EVO is the same price. SK Hynix are a very well known brand in semi-conductor manufacturing.

Between that and the turtle beach, the logitech is the is clear winner. Also haven't seen its price drop that low.

Do you know of any good headsets for around $100? If not then I will give those Logitech's a go. I've used the X12's in the past and they are decent, but I am always willing to get better :)

Swap the 6700K out for a 5820K if you want... (Not the 6800K as it's not worth $50 more)

Thank's for the suggestions, I think I will go with some Sennheiser HD headphones and add the ModMic 4.0 onto it.
