Metal-ish/High quality 15"+ laptop for under £550 ($722)

I am looking for a laptop with either at least the palm wrest to be made out of metal or to be very durable.

I am prepared to buy older laptops (Haswell or later) and don't need a Dgpu. Also am prepared to buy used eg ebay.

Any suggestions?

I was looking more for a windows pc as this if for a windows only user (I know about boot camp)

However this main issue is I hate Apple and people who think thier products are superior due to being apple

Well you can get an i5 macbook with like 10 hours battery life, full metal chassis, and nice IPS display, and yeah just install windows if you need it

 

But not many other brands make metal laptops so....good luck

Asus and HP (eg n550,k501,hp 850) are releasing quite a few part metal laptops now, just I cannot tell which are good or not.

I used to sell a few like that most of them are plastic bodies with coke can thin layer of metal around it and they are only just  a tiny bit better built than plastic laptops

maybe try see them in store to get an idea of them
